Founder's Story
I didn't set out to build a financial education company. I learned most of what I know about personal finance through experience, research, and mistakes.
Over time, I saw how different my outcomes were when I had the right financial information before making a decision instead of after. Choices can seem small in the moment but follow you for years: a credit application, an overdraft, a lease, a loan.
That realization led me into nonprofit work, helping people facing housing instability build the credit and financial footing they needed to reach stable housing and achieve homeownership. Doing this work showed me that the information people needed almost always existed. It was just scattered, hard to find, or hidden behind corporate jargon.
People shouldn't have to learn the financial system through trial and error.
This belief became the foundation for Start Strong. I built it to give people entering the United States something I wish more people had from the start; clear financial knowledge, available when they need it.

It's the next generation of the Start Strong experience, offering guidance that grows with learners well beyond the curriculum itself. The goal is greater than a financial education program.
